Cancellation Policy for Katmai Expeditions

Guest Cancellations: Guests who choose to cancel their bookings with Katmai Expeditions will not receive any refund, regardless of the reason or timing of the cancellation.

Katmai Expeditions Cancellations: If Katmai Expeditions has to cancel any portion of the trip, only the excursion component of the trip will be refunded to the guest. No other parts or additional services will be subject to refund.

Rescheduling Opportunities: In situations where Katmai Expeditions is able to rebook the slot or service initially reserved by the guest, a refund might be entertained. The decision on the amount and timing of such a refund rests solely with Katmai Expeditions.

Discretionary Credits/Refunds: All decisions to provide a credit or refund outside of Katmai Expeditions' cancellations are at the sole discretion of Katmai Expeditions' management. Offering a credit or refund in specific instances neither negates our foundational no-refund policy for guest cancellations nor establishes a standard for future situations.

Communication Responsibility: Guests are obligated to provide accurate contact details during the reservation process. Katmai Expeditions will not bear responsibility for any miscommunication stemming from erroneous contact details shared by the guest.

Katmai Expeditions has the final authority when determining the mode of travel to Brooks camp, whether by Boat or Float Plane. It uses various factors, including forecast, group size, available crew, and numerous others, to make this decision.

Liability Waiver

Inherent Risks & Hold Harmless Agreement:

Inherent Risks: Guests acknowledge that there are inherent risks associated with the trips provided by Katmai Expeditions. These risks, both known and unknown, can lead to injury, loss, or damage, including to the guest or their property.

Hold Harmless: By participating in any trip or activity organized by Katmai Expeditions, guests agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Katmai Expeditions, its employees, agents, and representatives from any and all liabilities, claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses, whether or not caused by the negligence of Katmai Expeditions.

Limitation of Liability: Katmai Expeditions shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from participation in its trips.

By securing a reservation, guests signify their understanding and agreement to all policies and the hold harmless policy in its entirety.
