1. Choose Your Stay:
Before embarking on an unforgettable journey to Brooks Falls, guests looking to visit Brooks Falls with Katmai Expeditions must first get to King Salmon.
Once in King Salmon, we offer two exquisite lodging options that are harmoniously integrated with Alaska's stunning landscapes:
Katmai B&B: Katmai B&B is uniquely situated on the Naknek River in King Salmon, the gateway to Katmai National Park, one of the greatest bear-viewing locations in the world.
Bear Trail Cabins: Immerse yourself in the Alaskan wilderness. Cabins provide a rustic retreat, ensuring an authentic experience.
Other lodging options: Antlers Inn, King Salmon Lodge, The Suites at King Salmon, and various Airbnbs.
Our lodges fill up quickly; we can make other suggestions if you need lodging.
Note: You do not need to stay at our lodging facilities to use Katmai Expeditions to visit Brooks Falls. All of our guests will be accompanied by one of our guides.
2. Book Your Expedition:
Book your desired trips. Whether you’re eager to witness the grandeur of Brooks Falls or explore the serene beauty of the Naknek River, we have something tailored for every nature enthusiast.
Our trips are designed to give our guests adequate time at Brooks Camp. They typically last 8-10 hours, which is around 25% more time than if you booked a day trip from Anchorage.
Part of what sets us apart is that you no longer need to choose if you are taking a water-based vessel or a float plane when you book with Katmai Expeditions. Our operations team will use whichever mode of transportation the weather allows for. So long gone are the days when you need to worry about fog or wind.**
Note: Guided Trips to Brooks Falls with Katmai Expeditions are an exclusive service separate from Katmai Air & Katmai Water taxi. We use our equipment to transport our guided guests to Katmai National Park.
Note: Weather conditions in Alaska can be challenging; although we do our best to allow you to visit Brooks Camp, we can not guarantee that everyone will get to visit.
